Review / Approve of May 2021 Meeting Minutes

· Maria B. called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

· Rick motioned to approve the May meeting minutes as written. Maria H. seconded and all were in favor.

President’s Report:

● Website updates

● GOCA: Details of the progress on the Bowie Mill Bikeway, connecting Route 108 to Muncaster Mill Rd, is posted under the June 2021 meeting on their website.

● Dues Status: No changes.

Vice President’s Report: No report.

Secretary’s Report: No report.

Member-At-Large Report: Rick and Bob walked the common area path again to visualize the flow of storm water runoff. Lowering the path to ground level appeared no longer to be an option. The most likely solution is installation of drains under the path at the low point and followed by rebuilding the path. This involves more than simple landscaping and Rick was going to draft a proposal to civil engineering firms for remediation of storm water runoff issues in the common area causing flooding of homeowner’s properties. Maria H. mentioned that similar flooding occurs on properties located on the eastern side of Shady View Lane. Rick and Bob will look into these issues and consider whether to include them with the path flooding proposals or address them separately for engineering evaluation. Bob will send Rick the contact information for the local engineering firm that surveyed the initial development and he will contact them to initiate the process.
