Call Meeting to Order – 7:30pm by Maria B
Review / Approval of June 2026 minutes – Unanimously Approved
President’s Report
a. Sent April meeting minutes and the July meeting date to Ryan to update our website. Website was updated. CLOSED
b. There is a discussion for HOAs and Property Managers on 7/22 at the Gaithersburg Library from 2-4pm. Maria B. will be out of town. Is anyone interested in participating? This is put on by the MoCo Dept of Environmental Protection. They will provide updates on the following:
o Major sustainability projects
o Storm water management
o Energy efficiency and solar programs
o Building energy performance
o Recycling programs
o Standards compliance efforts
c. GOCA
· Maria B. attended June 8th GOCA meeting at the Brookeville Academy.
o Dawn Luedtke spoke:
§ Tough budget year
§ Bowie Mill bikeway progress
§ Satellite station and community building
§ MCPS HVAC systems – 10% of schools have solar; Sherwood mold issues
§ MCPS budget is a function of the school board
o Transportation Committee – redline updates over the summer; HHS permitting employees to telework 50% of the time
o Olney Golf Park – TH community is forthcoming
o 130 residents attended the MoCo County Executive Forum
o Marc Elrich has been invited to the July meeting
o No August meeting but there will be a social on 8/11
· Maria B. attended the July 14th GOCA meeting at the Sandy Spring Fire House.
o Marc Elrich talked about the county budget challenges
o MoCo Residential Care Facility Zoning: drug rehab center in Brookeville, more traffic and more emergency services; proposed zoning change be adopted; motion passed
o Sandy Spring Friends House expansion effort
o Public safety updates – opt out of door-to-door solicitors
o Transportation Committee updates – frequent speeders will get device installed in their car that cannot go over the speed limit which impacts 7800 MoCo residents; snow removal from cars; pilot program for cameras at stop signs in school zones

a. Board member training – required every 3 years
b. Comment raised at the annual meeting that the TH common areas are not getting mowed regularly. Maria B. emailed the TH condo association to see what is going on.
9. Snow removal
a. Snow removal is needed on sidewalks not in front of homes: corner or QE and HH Drives and Dartmoor Lane to Route 108, and portion of QE Drive across the pipeline on both sides of the street. We received an email from a HO about this. Maria B. suggests we ask our mowing contractor for an estimate to do this work. Maria B. will take photos of the areas in question and send to Horeb for an estimate.
New Business:
a. Review proposed budget for upcoming year. David provided the current budget and YTD expenses. The Board voted to keep the annual dues flat. David will send the annual dues letter to the community.
b. Schedule August meeting; proposing August 19 7:30pm – Approved
