Brookeville Knolls HOA Board of Directors Meeting

Attendees: Maria B, Jim D, Maria H, David K, Joe K, Brad S

Call Meeting to Order – Called at 7:36pm

Review / Approval of March 2026 minutes – Brad motioned to approved the minutes. Maria seconded and all per in favor.

President’s Report

a.     Maria B. sent February meeting minutes and the April meeting date to Ryan to update our website.  CLOSED.

b.     GOCA website also has a direct link to Roads; able to report missing signs, blocked signs, areas where grass hasn’t been mowed, etc. Ryan added this link to the Frequently Asked Questions, but Maria B. suggested he make this more prominent. Maria B. asked Ryan if he can add this to the header.

c.     GOCA

·       Maria B. and Joe attended April 14th meeting.

·       Reviewed MoCo proposed property tax increases for FY27. GOCA will push back and asking the County Council to not increase property taxes beyond what was approved for FY26, to not pull from reserves, and to identify cuts that can be made to address shortfalls. GOCA will also draft verbiage we can share with our community so individuals can write to the County Council to share their input.

·       On 5/17, there will be a forum for County Executive Candidates to speak. This will be at 6pm at the Olney Theatre.    

·       GOCA is forming a small group to address the Olney Golf Park project.

·       The new Church at the corner of Old Baltimore Road and Georgia Avenue was approved.

·       Olney Days will run from April 24 through 5/2.

a.     Schedule May meeting; proposed for May 20^th at 7:30pm.  – approved

Brad motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:24pm. Joe seconded and all were in favor.
