2022 Act Responsibly Scholarship and MCPD Community Day

The Olney Chamber of Commerce has announced that they are now accepting applications for their 2022 Act Responsibly Scholarships which is open to all Montgomery County high school seniors.
2022 “ACT RESPONSIBLY SCHOLARSHIP”
The “Act Responsibly Scholarship” was created in 2016 in memory of Police Officer III Noah Leotta, for students seeking careers “on the frontline for saving lives.” One or more students will be selected to receive an award with a minimum value of $2,500.00. The application can be downloaded directly from the Chamber's website, www.olneymd.org, and applications must be postmarked by April 15.
Candidates considered will be pursuing post-high school education for career paths such as:
• Police Department • Fire Department • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) • Health Workers • Behavior Prevention, Intervention and Treatment • Public Safety
The Montgomery County Police Department invites everyone to their Community Day on May 14, 2022, 12 pm - 6 pm to celebrate their 100th anniversary.
