Brookeville Knolls HOA BOD Meeting Minutes

General

• Mary called the meeting to order at 7:35pm.

• Kathleen motioned to approve the April meeting meetings as corrected. Mary seconded. All were in favor.

Treasurer’s Report:

• Treasurer reported on Checking, Savings and Trash balances.

• Paid monthly trash payment to Potomac Disposal.

President’s Report:

• Nothing to Report

VP’s Report:

• BKHOA sent out note about townhouse parking

• Responded various correspondence regarding architectural change requests, etc.

• GOCA meeting notes.

• Shoppers is closing

• Land Giant is on is for sale; may not impact Giant

• McDonald’s footprint won’t change, just the building and the driving pattern

Secretary’s Report:

• Maria called Brian about an estimate for the other section or path repair; she hasn’t heard back from him yet.

Member-At-Large:

• Ryan submitted request to MDOT for crosswalk at QE and Shady View Lane. His request was rejected, but they did respond with study results. He will post the results on our blog.

Old Business:

• Trees:

• Mary received the invoice for cutting down the tree behind Dartmoor Court.

• Mary will ask Pupkar again about a walk-through of the remaining common areas for additional tree issues.

• Architectural Guidelines:

• Sent out two non-compliance letters

• Kathleen will resend the Architectural Guidelines document to the Board for review.

• Path Repair:

• Maria left a voice message for B&B on an estimate for repair of the broken path section near the Y.

• Maria will also call Nichols Asphalt for an estimate.

• Landscaping Projects:

• Mary called Williams Communications about planting trees on the pipeline. She talked with Brian K about who he called when he installed the sign posts. He called 811. Mary followed up with an email detailing what we are looking for.

• Mary motioned we get an estimate to plant new pine trees between St. John’s soccer field and our path. Maria seconded, and all were in favor. Maria will call C&R for an estimate. Mary will ask Pupkar for suggested companies.

New Business:

• GOCA Survey:

• Membership seems to be dying down and they are trying to revitalize interest.

• Explain what/who GOCA is

• Rank issues; top three

• ACRs:

• None

Ryan motioned to adjourn at 8:52pm. Mary seconded. All were in favor. The next meeting is June 13th.
