Brookeville Knolls HOA Board of Directors Meeting

7:30 pm, Wednesday, May 28, 2025

 

Attendees: Maria B, Maria H, David K, Joe K, Brad S

Call Meeting to Order – Meeting called to order by Maria B. at 7:35

 

Review / Approval of April 2025 minutes – Brad motioned to approve the minutes, David seconded, and the motion carried unanimously

 

President’s Report

a.     GOCA website also has a direct link to Roads; able to report missing signs, blocked signs, areas where grass hasn’t been mowed, etc. Maria B. emailed link to Ryan to add to our website. Ryan is working on adding this to our website.

b.     Ryan posted tonight’s meeting information on the website. He also posted the March meeting minutes.

c.      Received a few emails from residents outside of our HOA asking us to ask GOCA to get the Greenwood ES issue on their agenda. Maria B. forwarded at least one request to the GOCA president.

d.     GOCA

o   Olney Days was a great success

o   Speed limit changes on roads in our area, state is now considering this after county recommended

 

Treasurer’s Report

·       David motioned to transfer from the Operating Account to our Reserves. Maria B. seconded and all were in favor.

·       Account Balances

Vice President’s Report

-        House that was in disrepair and had overgrown lawn has been mowed.

Secretary’s Report

-        Nothing to report

Member-at-Large Report

a.     Received 12 responses:

1.     Grounds Maintenance / Landscaping Projects

a.     Maria H. asked for the status of the path repair reimbursement from Rock Creek. Maria B. sent second letter to Rock Creek via certified mail; a copy was also mailed to our attorney.

2.     Trees

a.     Maria H. indicated that we need to follow-up on tree plantings as discussed at the 2022 and 2023 Annual Meetings. We need trees planted to replace the many trees felled over the year. We need to pick trees that are smaller and less likely to fall over. Maria H. contacted the County and they submitted a request for us. Maria H. received email response from the County with the application for trees as well as which trees are available.

b.     Reviewed Pupkar’s tree proposal. We need details on these trees. Pupkar needs to mark the trees or review with a Board member. 

c.      Tree down partially blocking path behind Sinclair Court and Toddsbury Lane; Maria B. emailed Pupkar asking for an estimate to remove this tree from the path. Tree was removed from the path and Maria B. asked for an estimate to grind the stump. Maria B. emailed BOD re additional tree work identified. Maria B. emailed Pupkar with approval to fell the additional tree identified for. Work was completed and David paid the invoice. COMPLETE

3.     Proposed Covenant Changes – ON HOLD

4.     Path

a.     Need to get someone to install signs on the existing posts. Joe offered to install the signs on the existing posts. Maria B. dropped-off signs to Joe. Joe will install signs on existing posts.

5.     Homeowner letters

 

6.     Reserve Study

a.     Received question from homeowner on this. David indicated that our Auditor knows a company that can do our Reserve Study

a.     Schedule June Board meeting; proposing June 25th at 7:30pm.

 

David motioned to adjourn at 8:21pm; Brad seconded and all were in favor.
