Our Brookeville Knolls HOA is run by volunteers and we are currently in need of some additional support. By not contracting with a management company we keep our annual dues payments at a reasonable level and all funds go towards maintaining the community (rather than to a management company).
We need volunteers to support the HOA Board with the following activities.
Grounds Monitor –
Walk common area grounds regularly and alert the Board to any grounds keeping needs like debris that needs removal or trees in need of attention.
Time commitment is less than an hour a week.
Clean-Up Day Organizer –
Organize our two clean-up days in the spring and fall. Work with the Board on adding a social component to the clean-up days like coffee and donuts. Promote the clean-up day by posting signs and drafting notices, direct activities on clean up days, and work with the Board on improving future clean up days.
Time commitment is 1-2 hours for planning and 2-3 hours on the clean-up day.
Architectural Review Committee Member –
Be part of a committee that reviews Architectural Change Requests submitted by HOA members based on the Architectural Guidelines. A minimum of 3 volunteers are required for this committee.
Time commitment is an hour a month or less, depending on the volume of requests received.
Community Outreach –
Volunteer to be the point of contact for outreach to HOA members on specific items. This volunteer would work with the HOA Board to engage HOA members, provide information, gather feedback, and organize any activities. For example:
Traffic concerns – Provide our community with information on traffic studies, be the point of contact for traffic concerns and direct them appropriately to the county or state, make recommendations to the HOA Board on any recommended community action.
Social Activities – Organize an annual social activity for the community like a summer picnic. Gather feedback from HOA members, organize the event, and make recommendations to the HOA Board for future social events.
Welcome Committee – Organize and start a welcome committee to welcome new home owners to our HOA, provide information on the area, and serve as their point of contact for questions.
Other – Present ideas to the HOA Board on other community engagement opportunities that you would like to initiate and organize.
Time commitment is variable, depending on community interest and level of engagement.
If you are interested in becoming more involved and supporting our community, please reply to this email. The HOA Board appreciates your support!
